The Great Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest

Join NAS Oceana/Dam Neck MWR Community Recreation for a great virtual pumpkin pick-up and carving contest. Participants may collect their free pumpkins along with other MWR swag at the drive-thru event being held at The Great Escape on Friday, October 15 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Pumpkins will be available while supplies last. 

Once you have claimed your pumpkin, take them home to carve. Snap a picture of your creative work and submit photos via NAS Oceana/Dam Neck MWR Facebook Messenger (@NASODNMWR). This will enter you into the virtual pumpkin carving contest. 

Pictures must be submitted between Monday, October 18 and Friday, October 22. Photos will be posted to the NAS Oceana/Dam Neck MWR Facebook page for one week so the public can "like" their favorite pumpkin entry. Voting will take place from Monday, October 25 through Thursday, October 28. The carved pumpkin picture with the most "likes" will win a $25 NEX gift card. The winner will be announced on Friday, October 29.
