Oceana 2-Man

Join NAS Oceana MWR for our Oceana 2-Man Tournament on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 at Aeropines Golf Course with a shotgun start at 9 AM on both days. The tournament entry fee will be $125 per golfer ($250 per team). This includes lunch both days, prizes, range, greens and mandatory cart fee.

This will be a 36-hole better-ball stroke play tournament on the hornet course both days with placing for gross. Overall, team champion will be the low gross team. In the event of a tie for overall team champion a sudden death playoff will commence, and all other playoffs will be decided by scorecard playoffs.

This tournament will be pre-flighted based on combined team handicap from GHIN Handicap on June 24 into the following flights:

Championship flight will use blue tees.

Other flights will use white tees.

Senior flights will use orange tees. Both players must be 60 plus.

Open to all eligible golfers (active duty / retiree / military dependents / DoW / veterans). Handicap will be capped to a 10-stroke difference between partners. Any golf professionals will be considered “0” handicaps and anyone with a non-verifiable GHIN handicap will play also as a “0” handicap.

Practice rounds will be available Friday, June 26. Saturday starting holes will be made available on Thursday June 25th and Sunday starting holes will be made available after play on June 27. Field will be limited to the first 64 teams. Rain dates will be Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12. Please note the rain dates as entries will not be refunded.

Tournament entries are due by Wednesday, June 10.
