Spring Lifeguarding Classes

Become a certified lifeguard with classes hosted by NAVSTA Norfolk MWR Aquatics from Monday, June 1 to Thursday, June 4, 9 AM to 5 PM every day at the FRP-12 pool. The cost to participate is $175 per person. Participants must pass a pre-qualification swim test prior to earning a spot in class. Please call to schedule your swim test prior to course registration. 

These are blended learning courses. Students must complete all online course work prior to the first day of the course and they must pass/fail the final written exam with a grade of 80% or higher to gain certification.  

Upon successful certification, participants will earn a 2-year lifeguard certification, a 2-year CPR/AED certification for professional rescuers, a 2-year First Aid certification, and a 1-year bloodborne pathogens certification.
