Events

Gym 4 - Courts Plus is the second largest fitness facility on the installation. The facility is equipped with over 125 pieces of cardiovascular and strength equipment, an indoor running track, basketball/volleyball courts, and racquetball/wallyball courts. The west end of the facility is home to the Navy’s first functional fitness area, the “Warrior Zone”. The Warrior Zone is equipped with strength training racks, kettlebells, bumper plates, performance cardio equipment and other miscellaneous training tools to support Olympic lifting performance training goals.

 

24/7 After-Hours Facility Access

Gym 4- Courts Plus is now a 24/7 facility.  All eligible patrons are REQUIRED to complete a Pre-Orientation Course prior to gaining access. Prior to attending the Pre-Orientation Course, please complete your household information at the following link: https://myffr.navyaims.com/navyma/navyma.html

Once your account has been established, you must attend a scheduled Pre-Orientation Course to complete your CAC registration.

Programs

MWR Fitness offers a robust fitness program throughout the whole year. Programs include command physical training, group fitness classes, a 5K race series, powerlifting competitions and various health and fitness challenges. Services

Our MWR fitness professionals are available to support you in reaching your health and fitness goals. Services include Personal Training, Small Group Fitness Training and Personalized Fitness Packages/Plans.

 

Eligibility

A 100% ID Check of all patrons is conducted at the front desk of each facility upon entry. All patrons must have a valid Military or CAC Identification Card to access our facilities. Authorized users of MWR Fitness Facilities:

 

  • Active-Duty Military and their Dependents
  • Retired Military and their Dependents
  • Reservist Military and their Dependents
  • Department of Defense (DoD) employees


Other eligible users (Fees apply; verification of eligibility is required and determined by MWR staff) 

  • Eligible Sponsored Guests (Must be sponsored and accompanied at all times by an authorized user listed above)
  • Program Eligible Contractors


Youth Fitness Space Authorization


To assist our Navy Youth in attaining and maintaining healthy lifestyles, youth in approved age ranges are authorized to access MWR Fitness Centers under the following conditions:

 

  • Youth ages 15 years and older may utilize the Fitness Center unsupervised.
  • Youth and their parent must attend together a fitness program and facility orientation conducted by an MWR fitness professional staff member prior to beginning their initial workout. 


Youth in the approved age range must be accompanied at all times and in all areas of the designated areas listed below, by a parent or a legal guardian.

 

  • Youth ages 10 to 14 may utilize the Fitness Center Cardio and Strength Training areas and Group Exercise Room areas while accompanied and under direct supervision of their parent or legal guardian.
  • Youth ages 2 to 11 may utilize the Gymnasium and Racquetball areas while accompanied and under direct supervision of their parent or legal guardian. 
  • Youth ages 12 to 17 may utilize the Gymnasium and Racquetball areas unsupervised.

 

Note: Infants and toddlers in strollers, car seats carriers, or infant carriers of any sort are prohibited from any area of the Fitness Center. This action is taken to remove any potential for injury to the child as well as eliminate an unsafe distraction for other patrons.


Dress Code

Proper workout attire and footwear is required in all MWR Fitness facilities. 

 

Inclement Weather Policy

During inclement weather, if it is snowing, raining or the ground is saturated, patrons are required to carry their gym shoes into the facility and change into them prior to entering any fitness spaces. This is due to:

  • Patron Safety: prevent safety/slip hazards
  • Facility/Equipment Maintenance: minimize the tracking of water, mud, salt into facility; prevent damage to floors and fitness equipment
